Never accept blame for anything that goes wrong. Deflect the blame to team members and rip them for their stupidity. Point fingers at multiple teammates often for failures. Only take personal praise for their work when it works.

Once we missed a major shipment to one of our best customers. Our boss was the one who insisted that he fill the order and make sure it arrived on time. Not only did it not arrive on time, but it was lost or missing. We quickly tried to recover and sent a duplicate shipment to the customer. When customer service came and investigated the order, our boss blamed an employee who had just taken a vacation, so no verification could be done on the spot. Acting with fake concern, he recommended that we not charge the customer for the duplicate shipment. Customer service agreed. He also stated that he would personally discipline the employee that he blamed and “take care of it.” Customer service praised his commitment and dedication.

His organization was self-founded in 1995. He retired as a Captain from the Navy Reserve.
